It's all here and it's exactly what going further is all about.Position SummaryDrives freight between company terminals and customer facilities or work sites within a defined geographic area. Ensures freight is delivered in a claims-free and cost-efficient manner.Major Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDrives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at various company and customer locations.Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.Follows established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.Conducts inspections by following established safety and quality control procedures.Retains and maintains records, forms, and load-related paperwork.Serves as the first point-of-contact for delivery-related issues.Pay Rate: $30.90 - $35.30 per hour, based on experience Pay Range: 30.90-35.30 per_hour, General Benefits: Health Insurance with Medical, Rx & VisionDental InsuranceFree Life InsuranceFree Short-term Disability401(k) with immediate vesting & company matchImmediate eligibility for Holiday PayPaid Vacation days and Personal/Sick DaysEmployee Stock Purchase planJob RequirementsMinimum QualificationsMust be 21 years of age and hold a valid Class A driver's license with hazmat, tankers and twin trailer endorsements (X or H, N and T)Must have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experienceMust be able to read, write and speak in EnglishNo DUI, DWI or license suspension for moving violations in any vehicle within three (3) years of the date of applicationNo chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations within a six (6) month period immediately preceding the date of application.Preferred QualificationsExperience operating a forklift and pallet jack.Ability to lift and move objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truckBenefitsAt Saia, your success is our success!
