We are seeking a proactive Talent & Onboarding Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing potential candidates, screening resumes, following up with candidates, and assisting them throughout the onboarding process. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Talent Acquisition team and ensuring a smooth recruitment process.
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Utilizes various social sourcing & Boolean search methods to identify and interact with potential candidates, including online sourcing (job boards, social media, LinkedIn), networking, referrals, direct outreach and niche platforms.
Screen resumes and profiles to assess candidates’ qualifications, skills, and fit for specific roles.
Conducts initial phone screenings to evaluate candidates’ interest, availability, salary expectations, and basic qualifications.
Sends recruiting emails and follows up with candidates.
Solicits referrals from internal and external networks and hard to fill roles.
Collaborates closely with recruiters to understand hiring needs and priorities.
Monitors employee referral submissions and maintains database; escalates referrals which meet policy guidelines for approval.
Coordinates pre-boarding processes including weekly reminders to managers confirming new employees starting, new hire welcome packets, new hire week one feedback survey, and confirmation of day one starts.
iCIMS Onboarding for new hires – completion of 4 required tasks – sending them to WFN.
First day follow up – ensure new employees get technical help for setup.
Ensure the background check is completed and followed up; scanned into file.
Coordinates new hire onboarding process to ensure compliance with employee completion of processes.
Monitors compliance with completion of new hire processes through applicant tracking software and completes timely follow up with new employees with outstanding tasks.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient in using sourcing techniques including Boolean searches, social media, job boards, and networking.
Ability to identify and engage passive candidates
Experience with employee onboarding processes and compliance requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented
Education and/or Experience
2-4 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a similar role.
Experience with onboarding processes and candidate engagement.
Computer Skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel required
Previous experience with HRIS systems highly preferred
Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software is highly preferred
Typing of 60 wpm required
Certificates, Licenses, Registration
SHRM certification preferred
Relevant certifications, e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, LinkedIn Certified Professional Recruiter preferred
