SCCM Administrator

This engineer will take full ownership of the SCCM environment, with an immediate focus on upgrading the SCCM site to the latest version and ensuring ongoing stability, maintenance, and optimization. This is a hands-on, all-encompassing SCCM role—not limited to packaging or scripting alone.The ideal candidate can step in quickly, work independently, and manage the SCCM environment end-to-end.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and execute SCCM/MECM site version upgrades to the latest releasePerform ongoing SCCM environment maintenance, monitoring, and optimizationBuild application packages from scratch using best practicesDevelop and maintain task sequences, OS images, and deployment workflowsCreate and maintain scripts (PowerShell preferred) to support deployments and automationSupport imaging, patching, and software distribution across the enterpriseTroubleshoot and resolve SCCM client, deployment, and infrastructure issuesAct as the primary SCCM subject matter expert following departure of the prior engineerRequired Experience & SkillsStrong, hands-on SCCM/MECM engineering experience in enterprise environmentsProven experience performing SCCM site upgrades and version managementExpertise in:Package creation and application deploymentsOS imaging and task sequencesScripting (PowerShell)SCCM infrastructure and maintenanceAbility to own the platform end-to-end (not a siloed packaging-only role)Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and participating in virtual interviewsAble to start quickly and take over a mission-critical function with minimal ramp-upNice to HaveExperience supporting large, complex environments similar to Intel-scale SCCM deploymentsFlexibility with onsite requirements depending on contractor statusPrior experience stepping into environments after key personnel transitions
