Senior Specialist - Data Science

We're partnering with a fast-scaling data-driven organisation to find a Data Engineer for their core data platform team — the function responsible for building, optimising, and maintaining the pipelines that power analytics and product decisions across the business.This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership over the full data stack, from pipeline architecture to data quality — operating in a distributed cloud environment alongside developers, analysts, and data scientists.What you'll own:Designing, building, and operationalising scalable, reliable data pipelines on cloud infrastructureAssembling large, complex datasets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirementsManaging database architecture — logical modelling, physical optimisation, and securityImplementing data quality checks to ensure ongoing pipeline integrity across systemsPartnering with Data and Analytics teams to expand functionality and resolve blockersProviding on-call support and triaging issues by severity to unblock downstream usersYou bring:Proven experience engineering and operationalising data pipelines with large, complex datasetsStrong background working with unstructured data (JSON) and advanced SQLProficiency in Python and PySparkHands-on experience transforming data using DatabricksAWS cloud experienceGit and CI/CD familiaritySelf-directed work style; comfortable supporting multiple teams, systems, and products simultaneouslyNice to have:🔹 Power BI or equivalent visualisation tool experience📍 Remote | 📄 Contract | 🎯 Data Engineering × Cloud Pipelines × Distributed SystemsInterested or know someone who fits?
