DescriptionPosition:Preschool 4-Year-Old Program TeacherEmployment:To be employed by Edustaff, a third-party staffing agencyBuilding:Charlevoix Elementary SchoolDescription:Charlevoix Public Schools is looking to fill a Preschool 4-Year-Old Program Teacher position. This position serves as a Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) Teacher and is responsible for planning, assessing, and instructing 4-year-old students based on individual needs and GSRP requirements. The teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment while promoting physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. The position also ensures compliance with Michigan Early Childhood Standards, the GSRP Implementation Manual, and Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP) licensing guidelines.Qualifications:Michigan Teacher Certification with one of the following endorsements:Early Childhood Education endorsement (ZA)Early Childhood PK-General and Special Education endorsement (ZS)Pre-K-Grade 3 (PK-3) (ZO)ORA Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education with specialization in preschool teachingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field preferredExperience working with children in an educational or licensed preschool programKnowledge of Michigan Early Childhood Standards, GSRP requirements, and child development best practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children and their familiesEmotional resilience and patience to support young learners in a classroom environmentAbility to maintain required documentation, assess student progress, and meet state licensing and GSRP requirementsAbility to develop and implement lesson plans aligned to curriculum and student needsCommitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environmentAbility to communicate regularly with families and complete required home visits and conferencesReports To:Matt StevensonBeginning Date:2026-2027 school yearSalary & Benefits:Salary dependent on education and experience; single health benefits available (for 30 hours/week positions)Application Deadline:Until the position is filledApply:Submit credentials via our school website at www.rayder.net or Contact Matt Stevenson with questions: mstevenson@rayder.netPosting Date:April 20, 2026Equal Opportunity Statement:
