Java Developer

A leading company specializing in innovative technology solutions is hiring a (PL/SQL) Java Developer to support their New York City-based team. This hybrid role requires working on-site at the NY office, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The employment type is temp, with a potential for full-time conversion. We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL, Shell scripting Developer with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL, SQL, and shell scripting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to develop, enhance, and maintain complex applications in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in designing, implementing, and supporting reliable technology solutions that support critical business applications. Java Developer Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain applications following best practices. Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.x Write and maintain shell scripts for automation, deployment, and system monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management. Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues ensuring high code quality. Java Developer Qualifications: Over 5 years of experience Proficiency in PL/SQL (Oracle) and shell scripting (Bash, KornShell, or similar). Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns. Experience with version control systems such as GitHub and exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
