Wastewater Operator

Job Description: Independent role servicing multiple types of wastewater treatment plants and sizes. Flexible scheduling while servicing the state of MN with the highest concentration in central MN. Freedom to travel the state with growth opportunities and manager support in your role. Responsibilities: Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of contracted wastewater treatment systems. Troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to treatment systems. Ensure compliance with MPCA and other regulatory requirements. Provide excellent service and support to customers. Be proactive in anticipating issues and implementing solutions. Learn and adapt to various treatment systems and technologies. Collect and deliver analytical samples. Ideal candidate attributes: Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification issued by MPCA. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Passion for wastewater treatment and environmental sustainability. Independent self-starter with high integrity. Basic understanding or experience in electrical systems. Proficiency in wastewater math and control panels. Ability to learn multiple disciplines and adapt to various treatment systems. Strong customer service orientation. Hustle/motivated mindset with the desire to grow within the company. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. Proactive mindset with forward-thinking abilities. Licensing/Education/Experience: High School education or equivalent. Holds an MPCA Wastewater Operators license. 3 Years experience in wastewater treatment. Post date: 7-27-2023 Close date: 9-1-2023 Start date: Immediate Hours: This is a full-time position. Employees will be asked to work at least 8 hours per day, 5 days per week depending on seasonal variations in workload. Must also participate in the on call rotation, approximately every 6-8 weeks.
