Are we the road to your future?We are currently searching for an experienced Transportation Engineer to support ourGulf Regiongroup located in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Tuscaloosa, AL.To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, 5 years of transportation planning experience.What You’ll Be DoingPerform routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principlesProjects may include traffic operations analysis, traffic signal design, traffic signal timing development, corridor planning studies, transportation safety studies, roadway master planning, long range transportation planning, and transportation modeling (micro and macro)Assist the Project Manager in the development and design of projectsAssist Service Line Manager in development of Engineering Interns Prepare engineering studies, documents, and reportsWhat You Need To Have B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited engineering program 5 – 10+ years of experience – Must be in transportation planning Alabama PE License required PTOE, PTP, and/or RSP certifications are a plus Proficiency with transportation planning practices and procedures Proficiency with Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, HCS, and Microstation Familiarity with CUBE Voyager and TransCAD is a plus Mastery with MS Office products Must be dependable with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team to meet deadlines and provide high quality work Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
