This role sits within a large-scale enterprise technology environment focused on delivering data-driven insights and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable BI systems.This position is ideal for a systems administration or platform engineering professional with experience supporting enterprise BI tools across both on-premises and cloud environments. You will play a key role in maintaining platform performance, supporting business users, and driving continual improvements across the BI ecosystem.Job DescriptionThe Business Intelligence Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Business Intelligence platforms and associated infrastructure. This includes ensuring system availability, scalability, and security while collaborating with both technical teams and business stakeholders.Responsibilities include:Support and maintain BI platforms in both on-premises and cloud environmentsPlan and scale infrastructure, including cloud services and system capacityPerform system maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performanceManage platform security, user access, and system integrationsProvide technical guidance and consulting to business and technology partners on BI platform usage and optimizationDevelop, document, and implement administrative procedures and best practicesEnsure adherence to engineering standards, quality requirements, and security protocolsCollaborate across technical and business teams to support data and reporting needsManage relationships with software vendors, including support escalations and licensingEvaluate and test new software versions, features, and capabilitiesDesign and implement improvements to enhance platform functionality and efficiencySupport enterprise monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning initiativesProvide off-hours support as neededPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Qualifications:1-3 years of administration experience with Business Intelligence or cloud infrastructureStrong experience in systems administration, platform engineering, or infrastructure supportKnowledge of Business Intelligence systems and platform support, including implementation and maintenanceExperience supporting enterprise-level platforms, including integrations, monitoring, and capacity planningIn-depth knowledge of cloud services (AWS or Azure), platform architecture, and systems integrationStrong experience with Windows-based operating systemsExperience with software installation, configuration, and system maintenanceFamiliarity with enterprise security practices, including LDAP/Active Directory integrationExperience managing vendor relationships and coordinating technical supportStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including independent research and vendor collaborationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships across teamsAbility to learn new technologies independently and share knowledge with team membersPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with automation tools such as Puppet or AutosysExperience with scripting languages such as PythonHands-on experience with one or more of the following BI tools:Power BIQlik SenseQlik Cloud AnalyticsMicroStrategyQlikViewBenefitsDahl Consulting is proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees that will allow you to choose the best coverage to meet your family's needs.
