Physical Therapy Tech for PT in Motion

DescriptionThe Physical Therapy Tech is responsible for completing the tech support duties within their assigned clinic. He/she ensures that all duties are performed accurately and timely and provides assistance with patient care under the direction of a physical therapist while acting as a tech team player for optimum clinic flow and excellent patient care. This position does NOT provide direct patient care. Direct patient care falls only within the scope of a licensed physical therapist.Individual Responsibilities:Ensure accurate and timely filing of charts and documents and prepare charts for next day patientsAudit charts as assigned by managementUnder direction of a physical therapist -- assists patients with performing exercises, utilizing and E-Stim machine, and administering hot and cold packsTracks supplies and submits ordersMaintains the upkeep of the equipment and treating areasMonitors therapy forms and maintains appropriate suppliesMaintains clean linen supplyEnsures compliance with infection control policiesMonitors hydrocollator and freezer temperatures and up-keepPerforms other tasks as assigned by managementQualifications:Strong organization, multi-tasking, and customer service skillsStrong interpersonal skills that include the ability to effectively communicate verballyShows initiative and enjoys working as a team player in a fast paced environmentExperienced with MS Word and Excel and ability to learning new computer programsFlexibility to travel and work at other clinics as needed, must have reliable transportationExperience with exercise and/or human anatomy preferredMUST be flexible MON-FRIRequirementsRequired experience:Reliable transportation for local travel
