Software Engineer with Security Clearance
Client is seeking engineers to join our Sea Systems business area to develop solutions in support of our unmanned surface vehicles programs. Current focal areas include autonomous control, advanced payload integration, vision systems, and other emerging technologies to enhance our unmanned surface vehicle platforms' capabilities. Your day may include designing, simulating, constructing, and field-testing autonomous surface vehicles and their subsystems. Our goal is to deliver disruptive autonomy technologies that enhance our customers' mission capabilities. Responsibilities·Providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity on both current and next generation technologies in support of our family of Sea Vehicle productsParticipating in software development of new products across all phases of the product lifecycle from concept development to lab and offsite integration and evaluationPerforming software development at component, subsystem and system level including embedded control systems and sensor/operator interface developmentWorking cohesively on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and productsLeadership and individual contributor growth roles are availableProviding offsite integration and test supportOther related duties as assigned QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related field required with 2+ years of experience or master's degree in computer science or computer engineering or related fieldWe are open to hiring with more experience, as well. Compensation to be reflective of years of experience.C/C++ or Java programming experienceBasic shell scripting experienceNetwork/Serial/CAN interface development experience is a plusKnowledgeable of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA)/Object-Oriented Design (OOD)Comfortable working in Unix based development environmentsExperience with Jira and using Git or Mercurial configuration management tools is a plusExposure to frontend technologies including (but not limited to) CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, REST API, databases (SQL or NoSQL), and web UI design is a plus Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance
