Job Type Full Time Schedule M-F 8-5 (Can vary a bit); No call Pay $185k - $246k Patients Per Day less than 2.5 patients per hour EMR System - ECW, soon to be Epic Setting Outpatient Job Description A Santa Cruz based client is seeking an experienced, collaborative family practice or internal medicine physician to join its primary care team at a community health center. An ideal candidate works well amongst an interdisciplinary team, and can be a new graduate. This role involves providing primary care services to a community in an outpatient setting. Required Qualifications Attended an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree Completed an accredited residency program DEA certificate Board certification or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine BLS certification Responsibilities Assess patient health by performing physical examinations and taking patient history Supervises assigned NP and PA staff on clinical responsibilities Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy Assist with utilization review, quality assurance, and risk management programs About Provider Healthcare Provider Healthcare is a prominent healthcare recruitment firm that places highly qualified and skilled healthcare professionals in excellent employment opportunities across the country.
