IT Operations Engineer (Full Time, 3-month Contract/3x Hybrid in Naperville, IL)Optomi, in partnership with one of our clients, is seeking an IT Ops Engineer to support and help evolve a growing digital workplace environment within a fast-paced, high-growth organization. This role is focused on bridging the gap between traditional IT support and modern workplace engineering, supporting the technologies and infrastructure that directly impact end-user productivity and day-to-day business operations. The engineer will be responsible for supporting and administering Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft Intune, JAMF, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID while also assisting with office WiFi, connectivity, conference room technology, and endpoint lifecycle management initiatives. This position will play a key role in helping build and mature the IT Operations function through automation, remote deployment strategies, troubleshooting, and operational improvements across the digital workplace ecosystem. The ideal candidate brings strong endpoint engineering experience, hands-on knowledge of both Windows and Mac environments, experience supporting Microsoft cloud technologies, and the ability to operate independently within a fast-moving environment with high expectations and strong ownership mentality.Responsibilities:Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device provisioning, endpoint management, compliance enforcement, and application deploymentManage and support Windows and macOS devices, including JAMF administration for high-touch Mac users and executive supportSupport and maintain the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, licensing, and collaboration technologiesAdminister Microsoft Entra ID including conditional access policies, MFA, device compliance, and identity managementTroubleshoot and support office WiFi, connectivity, conference room technology, and digital workplace infrastructure issuesAssist with automation initiatives including Microsoft Autopilot, remote deployments, imaging, and endpoint lifecycle managementHelp build and improve the digital workplace engineering function by driving technical solutions, operational improvements, and end-user experience enhancementsApply today if your background includes:Strong experience administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, device provisioning, compliance policies, and application deploymentHands-on experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments, including JAMF administration for Mac devicesDeep understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, licensing, and collaboration toolsExperience administering Microsoft Entra ID including MFA, conditional access, identity management, and device complianceExperience troubleshooting digital workplace technology including WiFi, connectivity, conference rooms, and office technology infrastructureExperience with endpoint automation, Microsoft Autopilot, remote deployments, and modern device lifecycle managementStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within fast-paced, high-growth, or evolving IT environments
