Job DescriptionBlackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Sr System Safety Engineer - P3 Cleared On-Site to join our Client's team.On-Site Means they will be working at a Location.Developing and implementing one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programsPerforming MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400).Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance.Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.Coordinating with customer safety representatives applying methods, standards, and techniques to provide clarification of system requirements to software, hardware, and test personnel to ensure design and architecture considerations are appropriately allocated to the system and horizontally integrated across the development teams.Collaborating with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds.***Key Responsibilities include:***Performing System Safety planning, hazard analyses, and design analysesBriefing safety considerations at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standardsPreparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety programCollaborating across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and designInterfacing with other engineering functions: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Hardware EngineeringManaging System Safety Working Group(s) between key Raytheon and CustomerEducation Required:Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)Years of Experience Required:Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in:Systems EngineeringElectrical EngineeringComputer EngineeringSoftware EngineeringSafety EngineeringAn advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this positionRequired Skill Sets:Experience with one or more of the following:System Safety EngineeringElectrical EngineeringSystems EngineeringComputer EngineeringSoftware or Firmware EngineeringEquivalent Safety Engineering disciplinesAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued security clearanceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceDesired Skill Sets:Experience with DoD System Safety Programs, including:MIL-STD-882Experience with:Electrical systemsWeapon combat systemsStrong:Written communication skillsVerbal communication skillsPresentation skillsSecurity Clearance Required: SecretBlackstone Talent Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackstone Technology Group, a global IT services and software firm that implements technological solutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.
