Program Manager at Early-stage VC Fund

Program ManagerA well-known venture fund at the center of the startup ecosystem is looking for a Program Manager to design, execute, and optimize hiring events and programs. This is a unique, high-impact role where you'll own and continuously improve hiring events and programs that connect thousands of founders with top technical talent. In this role, you'll own the full event lifecycle, from curating the right attendees and grouping companies thoughtfully to running weekly and monthly events, large-scale hiring expos, and educational programming, all with a lean, scrappy, content-first approach. Someone who is a curious operator, deeply excited about startups, who is creative, thinks on their feet, and can take a playbook and run with it independently. This is an in-office role based in San Francisco. 100-150K+ DOE + benefits, 401k with matching, flexible PTO, and additional wellness/health benefits.Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and execute recruiting-related programs, events, and initiatives designed to connect talent with hiring teams.Manage end-to-end event logistics, attendee experience, and cross-functional coordination to ensure programs are well-organized and thoughtfully executed.Curate attendee lists thoughtfully by understanding which prospects are right for which companies and how to categorize startups for maximum relevance and impact.Develop, refine, and maintain playbooks, processes, and operational systems to support consistent and high-quality recruiting programming.Design through-lines and marketing for events by thinking through what technical leaders want to connect over and how programming fits the organization's brand.Track, analyze, and report on event and recruiting performance to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize future outcomes.Partner with internal stakeholders to align hiring initiatives, candidate experiences, and recruiting efforts with broader organizational goals.Build partnerships with various networks to grow the candidate ecosystem.Qualifications:Previous experience in a Program Management, Operations, or similar role with experience leading cross-functional projects.Experience coordinating in-person or virtual events, recruiting initiatives, or community-building programs is preferred.Must have a strong interest in startups, innovation, and building meaningful connections within fast-paced environments.Strong program management and organizational skills with the ability to run multiple events and workloads simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a variety of audiences and stakeholders.Analytical, goal-oriented, and comfortable using data to evaluate performance and improve processes.Creative problem-solver, resourceful, and scrappy to run lean and move quickly.Comfortable working with ambiguity and taking ownership of projects from concept through execution.Tech-savvy. Must be AI-driven and lean into the tools to build and optimize processes. Familiarity with Claude Code is a plus.
