Operational Auditor
Summary: Our client is a fast growing Fortune 500 company. This key position leads operational audits across the company’s industrial plants focusing on safety, environmental compliance and operational performance. Partners closely with plant and corporate leadership to assess risk, evaluate controls, and drive process improvements while utilizing data analytics and technology-based audit techniques. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as Auditor-in-Charge on complex audit and advisory projects focusing on operational audits across US plantsEvaluate controls related to safety, environmental compliance, maintenance, reliability, and operationsPerform risk assessments, testing, data analysis, walkdowns, and inspectionsPrepare audit reports and present findings/recommendations to managementPartner with Operations and EHS teams on remediation and risk mitigationUtilize plant systems/data (SAP, Maximo, monitoring systems, incident logs) to identify trends and control gapsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field3+ years of experience auditing plant/industrial operationsKnowledge of risk-based auditing, controls testing, and data analyticsExperience with industrial operations preferredStrong communication, analytical, and project management skillsAbility to travel 20–40%Comfortable working in plant environments and complying with PPE/safety requirements
