Whether sipped on their own or added to recipes, Butcher's Bone Broth provides both comfort and sustenance.General DescriptionWe’re growing fast and looking for a creative, curious Content Creator Intern to spend the summer with us. This is a hands-on learning role. Your primary focus will be creating content for our social channels — filming, editing, and publishing work that tells our story and connects with our audience. Along the way, you’ll get mentorship from our Marketing Manager, face time with senior leadership, and real exposure to how a growing brand builds its voice.Essential Duties and Key ResponsibilitiesYour Primary Focus: Content CreationCreate original social content (video, graphics, and written posts) for TikTok and Instagram, with guidance from the Marketing ManagerFilm and edit short-form video content, including behind-the-scenes moments, recipes, and product storytellingWork alongside the CEO to capture personality-driven content that showcases the founder’s voice and the brand’s storyHelp maintain the editorial calendar by preparing and scheduling content on time Organize and maintain the brand’s content library so assets are easy to find and reuse Learning & Exposure OpportunitiesIn addition to content creation, you’ll get hands-on exposure to other areas of marketing under the guidance of your manager:Assist with influencer research — help identify creators and brands that align with our values, and support outreach and product gifting coordinationLearn the basics of social analytics by tracking post performance and sharing weekly observations on what’s workingContribute to email newsletter and Substack drafts on a weekly or biweekly basisStay curious about platform trends, sounds, and formats on TikTok and Instagram, and bring ideas to the teamMentorship & DevelopmentReport directly to the Marketing Manager for day-to-day feedback, creative direction, and professional developmentGet regular face time with the President on brand initiatives and cross-functional projectsParticipate in strategy conversations with senior leadership to understand how brand, marketing, and business decisions connectLeave with a portfolio of published work, practical experience in brand storytelling, and a clearer sense of where you want to go nextQualifications and ExperienceEnrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is a plus, but we care more about your portfolio than your majorStrong Communication and Organizational Skills for effective collaboration and task managementBasic Marketing knowledge, including brand storytelling and audience engagementCreative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for food-focused storytellingA sample of content you’ve created (personal, school, or client work all count)Comfort with learning how to use tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalentsGenuine interest in social media as a craft: you follow trends, read newsletters like Link in Bio or Marketing Brew, and pay attention to what works and whyCan reliably commute to San Leandro and Oakland for the summerNice to Have:Experience growing a personal or brand social accountBasic photo and video shooting skillsFamiliarity with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, etc.)What We ProvideAdobe editing software for the duration of the internshipMonthly stipend for use of personal device for filming and editingA team that wants to teach you, not just task youScheduleMonday, Tuesday, ThursdayThis is a paid internship
