Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. An Elementary Special Education Teacher position is available to support students in an applied skills program focusing on life skills and intense intervention. This role is based in Greenwood, IN, serving the unique needs of students within an elementary school setting. The job duration covers the current school year (CSY). Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs, emphasizing applied skills such as life skills and intensive interventions. Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to coordinate educational goals and services. Desired Qualifications: Certification in Special Education. Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in special education settings. Skilled in applied skills instruction, including life skills and intensive intervention techniques. Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation. Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and families.
