Litigation Associate

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its busy litigation practice, with a primary focus on medical malpractice defense. This role offers meaningful responsibility, professional growth, and the opportunity to make an immediate impact.Key Responsibilities:Defend healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical professionals in medical malpractice and related litigation matters.Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.Take ownership of assignments and work independently while collaborating with senior attorneys as needed.Qualifications:Active Illinois State Bar license in good standing.2–5 years of litigation experience, with medical malpractice defense experience preferred.Outstanding legal research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong organizational and time-management abilities with proven attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, and manage competing priorities effectively.Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility for work product and case progression.
