Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to lead our organization's health and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role is crucial in promoting a safe work environment and minimizing risks associated with workplace hazards. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies in accordance with OSHA regulations and workers' compensation law. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including root cause analysis, to recommend corrective actions. Provide training and guidance on occupational health practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization. Stay informed about changes in environmental regulations (EPA) and industry best practices related to EHS (Environmental Health and Safety). Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, incidents, and compliance documentation. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in health and safety management within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation law, and environmental regulations (EPA). Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques for incident investigation. Certification in First Aid/CPR is highly desirable. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
