Must have worked in ER within the last 3 monthsAHA BLSAHA ACLSHospital Fire & Life Safety CardDepartmentEmergency Room (ER)Float pool role ? must be comfortable adapting to different ER units/workflowsJob Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all acuity levels in a fast-paced ER environmentPerform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritization based on acuity and presenting conditionsInitiate and manage emergency interventions, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and trauma-related careAdminister medications and treatments per physician orders and emergency protocolsMonitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring immediate escalationCollaborate closely with ER physicians, trauma teams, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staffMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standardsRespond effectively to codes, trauma activations, and medical emergenciesFloat between ER units as needed, adapting quickly to different workflows and patient populationsEnsure compliance with hospital safety policies, including fire and life safety proceduresProvide patient and family education appropriate to emergency care and discharge planningMaintain a safe, organized, and efficient care environment during high census and high-stress situations Quick Fit ChecklistYou're a strong candidate if you:?
