Craftsman
Skilled Carpenter: Indoor Factory, Steady Full-Time Hours + Overtime
Tired of rained-out days, seasonal layoffs, and never knowing how many hours you will get? At Framework First, you build real homes inside a climate-controlled factory. No weather delays, steady, full-time work year-round. Push to finish a build and you earn time-and-a-half on top.
We own our factory in Salinas and have built quality homes for years, a real operation with a full factory floor and office, not a two-truck outfit. Our craftsman trainer has 40+ years in the trade, and people who work hard here move up.
We are hiring multiple carpenters right now. Tools and workstations provided. No video applications and no hoops: a real conversation, then a paid working tryout on our floor.
The pay
- $35 to $50 per hour to start (DOE), about $72,800 to $104,000 per year at full-time 40-hour weeks, before OT.
- Overtime is real here. Your hardest weeks pay the most.
- Steady, full-time hours. Plus 401(k), paid vacation/holiday/sick, employee discount, and health, dental, and vision coverage starting September 1, 2026.
Who you are
- 3+ years of framing or residential carpentry (not entry-level).
- Confident with the tools and able to read a plan set and build to it.
- You own your work: punctual, safety-minded, reliable, and accountable.
To apply
Submit your resume or work history and the carpentry you are strongest at. If your experience looks like a fit, we reach out to schedule a short virtual interview, then invite you to a paid working tryout on our factory floor. Strong tryout, fast offer.
