Senior Fabricator

Job Title: Senior Welder Fabricator Location: Colbert, OK Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $Based on ExperiencePosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Welder Fabricator with strong experience in hardwire (GMAW/MIG) and flux core (FCAW) welding processes. This role is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to meet precise specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or leading fabrication projects.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform welding using hardwire (MIG/GMAW) and flux core (FCAW) processes Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols Fabricate and assemble structural and custom metal components Set up and operate welding equipment, grinders, and fabrication tools Ensure all welds meet quality standards and specifications Inspect finished work for accuracy, strength, and compliance Maintain a clean and safe work environment Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues as they arise Mentor junior welders and assist with training when neededQualificationsMinimum 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience Strong proficiency in hardwire (MIG) and flux core welding Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements Experience with structural steel, heavy equipment, or custom fabrication Knowledge of welding codes (AWS preferred) Ability to pass weld tests (if required) Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environmentPreferred QualificationsWelding certifications (AWS or equivalent) Experience with additional processes (TIG, Stick) Leadership or supervisory experience Forklift or crane operation experience Our Commitment to Fair Hiring:HireQuest does not discriminate on the basis of Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or other legally protected group status in making hiring or employment decisions.We welcome candidates from all backgrounds, industries, and abilities to join our team.
