Software Developer

Space Ground System Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for a software engineer. The position will be responsible for development of software for satellite command, control and telemetry monitoring. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Develop front-end and back-end software for web applications in a Linux RHEL environment Experience with golang/c++ Knowledge of build systems. Knowledge of Kubernetes. Participate in UI design for web applications Perform System and Software level Integration and Test Design and implement software for a large-scale command and control system Create and execute integration and system tests and document test procedures Troubleshoot software system issues Work in a dynamic, fast paced,sometimes pressured environment REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance Must be a U.S. citizen Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (i.e., Computer Science, Software Engineer, Information Technology) Five (5) to ten (10) years of software engineering/development experience in a Linux environment Good understanding of distributed systems. Experience developing Web applications, Golang applications or Python applications. Basic understanding of build systems and containerization PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Proficiency developing and testing software in a Linux environment Experience documenting test results for corrective actions Excellent troubleshooting skills Desire to work in the space industry developing satellite command and control systems for test and operations Experience using software configuration management tools (examples: ClearCase, GIT, Mercurial, etc.) Experience interacting with databases (examples: Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, etc.) EXPERIENCE WRITING SCRIPTS (EXAMPLES: SHELL SCRIPTING, PERL, ETC.)
