Capital V operates at the intersection of media influence and business strategy.About the RoleOur client, Capital V, is hiring a media-driven Senior Associate to help lead earned communications for a portfolio of up to six high-growth clients.This role focuses on shaping narratives, pitching and securing top-tier media coverage, and acting as a trusted day-to-day partner to founders and operators.The ideal candidate brings strong editorial instincts, excellent writing ability, established reporter relationships, and at least 3 years of PR or journalism experience. Candidates should also be actively working with modern tools, including AI, as part of their workflow.What You’ll OwnMedia RelationsPitch and secure coverage across outlets such as Bloomberg, WSJ, TechCrunch, Axios, and other relevant publications. Candidates should bring both existing reporter relationships and a track record of landing top-tier coverage.Narrative DevelopmentTranslate founder perspectives into compelling storylines with strong editorial judgment.Press MaterialsDraft press releases, backgrounders, messaging frameworks, and media preparation documents.Reporter RelationshipsMaintain and grow an active network of media contacts across key beats.Client StrategySupport media and visibility strategies for launches, fundraises, and special projects across a portfolio of up to six clients.Special ProjectsDevelop investor decks, op-eds, and rapid-response press materials.
