Production Associate

Production Associate Georgia-Pacific is looking for safety-oriented individuals to join our team as Production Associates in Albion, MI!Salary: $22.75 per hour. This role is eligible for an additional $1.50 per hour while working on 2nd shift and $1.25 per hour for 3rd shift.Shift: Only candidates who are flexible to be assigned to work any shift will be considered. Candidates must be flexible and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. This will include overtime, holidays, and weekends. Currently hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift. Orientation will be on 1st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent 2nd or 3rd shift after your orientation. Albion operates on a point based attendance program.Shift Hours:1st shift: Monday Friday 7am-3pm; weekends and overtime as needed2nd shift: Monday Friday 3pm-11pm; weekends and overtime as needed3rd shift: Monday Friday 11pm-7am; weekends and overtime as neededProduction Associates play an integral part in maintaining the success of the plant by providing coverage and support for various machine centers throughout the plant. Production Associates will find opportunities to move into positions with increased responsibility.What You Will Do In Your RoleOperate equipment to defined standards and product specification targetsMonitor and/or entry into computer control systemsTroubleshoot equipment to optimize productionPerform basic asset care duties to include routine maintenance and cleaning of work areaWork as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goalsOperate and/or work around mobile equipmentMaintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment.Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environmentThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment OR completion of post high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered programWhat Will Put You AheadExperience using a computer, tablet, or smart devicePrevious experience working in a corrugated box plant
