Job Summary
The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is an experienced position in the Accounts Payable department. This position is a great opportunity to be exposed to the different functions in AP in the telecommunication industry. The AP Specialist will report directly to the AP Manager with various responsibilities within the day-to-day operations of AP.
Essential Functions include but not limited to:
Code and enter non-purchase order invoices to route for approval in the accounting system
Answer emails from AP Outlook inbox including researching and resolving any issues as they arise
Process PO matching in the accounting system and research PO's if not received by reaching out to Procurement or PO owner regarding Item receipts
Process and maintain Unclaimed Property monthly
Assist in 1099 process
Review Commissions uploaded via script in NetSuite to the Monthly Commissions report and add activations if needed
Preparing the accounts payable credit card statement for coding and processing all utility bill payments made via the AP credit card by company deadlines
Transferring any utility bills paid from the bank account to the accounts payable credit card for updating and reconciliation
Maintain Utility Portal workbook, adding new utility bill accounts that will be on autopay with the credit card and paperless billing
Clearing of auto-paid utility bills, reconciling to the bank statements on a weekly basis
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
All levels of education are permitted to apply
2-3 years of AP experience preferred
Ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally as issues arise
Aptitude to learn new applications quickly such as MS Office, accounting software, etc.
Ability to work efficiently while having a strong attention to detail with critical thinking and maintaining confidentiality
Self-motivated, both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work from the office 2-3 days a week
Adapt to change as the Company grows

Pay & Benefits Data (in accordance with the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act)
Minimum Salary: $42,000
Maximum Salary: $52,500
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
