Tire and Lube Technician
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing essential vehicle maintenance and repair services with a focus on tire and oil change services, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. Experience with automotive diagnostics, and service technician roles is highly preferred. Duties
Perform tire replacements, rotations, balancing, and related tire services using hand tools and power tools
Conduct oil changes, fluid top-offs, and basic vehicle maintenance procedures
Assist with wheel alignments and suspension inspections to ensure proper vehicle handling
Diagnose minor mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle problems efficiently
Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate
Assist in vehicle inspections to identify potential issues requiring further repair or maintenance
Use various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs accurately
Experience
Experience In automotive repair background is highly desirable
Prior mechanic experience or automotive service technician experience preferred
Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, oil changes, alignments, and tire services required
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general mechanical knowledge necessary for effective performance
Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tire installations or other repairs is essential
Previous sales experience related to automotive parts or services is advantageous but not required
