General Liability Attorney (IL/IN)

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a General Liability Attorney to join our insurance defense practice.Position OverviewIn this role, you will represent our clients in general liability and insurance defense matters, including claims involving bodily injury, property damage, and negligence. You will manage cases from inception through resolution, with opportunities to gain trial experience and further develop your litigation skills.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage a caseload of general liability and insurance defense mattersHandle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practiceAppear in court, mediations, and trials as neededCommunicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counselMaintain accurate and timely billing in accordance with client guidelinesDevelop litigation strategies and evaluate risk exposureQualificationsLicensed to practice in Illinois and/or Indiana (Ideally both)5+ years of experience in insurance defense/general liability litigationExperience handling Indiana-based matters strongly preferredFamiliarity with billing requirements and litigation guidelinesNot required, but having prior experience in Employment law helps.Compensation & BenefitsSalary range: $120,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)1950 billable hour requirementHybrid work environmentFull benefits package, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
