You will supervise the automated trading systems and respond to market and system events in real time. The role includes analyzing market conditions, collaborating with the Portfolio Manager to enhance trading performance, and maintaining a thorough understanding of trading platforms and tools. You will also play an integral role in maintaining operational risk standards and compliance.We're looking for someone bright, curious, and hungry. A strong technical foundation matters, but so does the drive to learn the business from the ground up. This seat is designed as an entry point: candidates who demonstrate strong judgment and technical aptitude will have a clear path to grow into more senior trading, research, or strategy development roles.ResponsibilitiesWorking closely with the trading team to operate and implement trading strategiesLaunching, supervising, and shutting down Polytope's trading activities on global marketsTriaging real-time alerts and coordinating with the trading and engineering teams to resolve production issuesCoordinating with risk, operations, and compliance to assess live trading and respond to unusual market behaviorFlagging real-time alerts and working with the trading to team to resolve issues in real time Documenting, monitoring procedures, and logging production issues as they occurRequirementsBachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or similar)Working knowledge of one or more of the following asset classes: digital assets, equities, futures, options, FXExperience with trading systems, execution workflows, and risk monitoringFamiliarity with high-frequency trading concepts and the operational demands of low-latency systemsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to act decisively under pressureClear written and verbal communication, with a collaborative approach to working alongside trading and technology teamsHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyAble to work on flexible hours and provide weekend and public holiday coverage on a rotation basisFamiliarity with UNIX, python, and SQL (C++ is a plus, but not required)Prior experience in algorithmic trading or execution trading is a plusCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive base salary, calibrated to experienceDiscretionary annual bonus tied to firm and individual performanceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan with employer contribution
