Senior Medical Director, Early Global Clinical Development

Own the clinical strategy of next-generation oncology assets from day one. We’re supporting a hire for a Senior Medical Director, Early Global Clinical Development, to lead early global development across solid tumour programs, shaping assets from preclinical through early-phase studies.Relocation support availableKey ResponsibilitiesAct as the medical lead and primary clinical representative for early-stage oncology programsEstablish the clinical development vision for assets entering the pipelineDesign and execute strategies spanning preclinical through Phase I/IIProvide oversight on medical safety, study design, and benefit–risk evaluationGuide preclinical activities to support clear, clinically grounded decision-makingLead interactions with key opinion leaders, academic partners, and regulatory authoritiesIdentify and leverage external collaborations to strengthen development programsLead cross-functional teams to deliver aligned, high-quality outcomesFoster accountability, pace, and ownership across initiativesRequirementsM.D. with board certification in Oncology, Hematology, or a related specialty5+ years of clinical experience in oncology patient care5+ years of industry experience, including early-stage drug developmentSolid understanding of oncology R&D across diverse modalitiesExperience contributing to or leading early-phase clinical trialsBackground in translational and/or clinical research (publications a plus)Experience engaging with global regulatory authoritiesStrong leadership skills with the ability to influence across matrix teamsStrategic thinker with a hands-on, delivery-focused mindsetFluent in English (additional languages beneficial)
