Lead Technical Process EngineerLOCATION: New York, NY (Midtown)HYBRID 4 DAYS ONSITE IN THE OFFICENO 3RD PARTY VENDORS AND CAMDIDATESPosition SummaryThe Lead Technical Process Engineer is responsible for leading a team dedicated to identifying inefficient, absent, or broken business processes across the organization's family of companies and transforming them into well-documented, optimized workflows, ready for technological enhancement or automation. This role oversees a team of Technical Business Analysts who gather and document technical requirements on behalf of Program Managers, enabling the successful delivery of technology projects that result in project-based technology deployments and workplace automations. The Lead Engineer serves as the connective tissue between business operations, technology delivery, and automation ensuring that process gaps are surfaced, prioritized, and resolved through structured analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and technology-enabled solutions across the enterprise.Key ResponsibilitiesLead a team comprised of Process Engineers and Technical Business Analysts responsible for identifying process deficiencies, gathering technical requirements, and producing documentation that enables Program Managers to initiate and deliver technology projects.Conduct and oversee structured assessments of existing business processes across departments to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, gaps, or the complete absence of formalized workflows.Propose, design, and document improved business processes and workflows, translating operational needs into clear, actionable process maps, standard operating procedures, and requirements documentation.Ensure that requirements gathered by the Technical Business Analysts are complete, accurate, and appropriately scoped to support technology project intake and delivery by technical project managers.Champion the identification and implementation of workplace automation opportunities, working with both business and technology teams to deploy solutions that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for process design questions, requirements conflicts, and workflow documentation standards.Establish and maintain a library of process documentation, workflow diagrams, and requirements artifacts that serve as the authoritative reference for technology delivery teams.Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements and the quality of requirements documentation produced by the team.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across to build organizational awareness of process improvement opportunities and foster a culture of continuous improvement.Support the evaluation and adoption of tools and platforms that enhance process documentation, workflow automation, and requirements management.Ensure all process designs and technology recommendations align with applicable security, compliance, and governance requirements.Other tasks as assigned.Required Experience/Skills:4 years of relevant professional experience or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field.7+ years of experience in technology operations, business analysis, or process engineering, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or senior technical role.Demonstrated experience identifying process gaps and designing improved workflows that result in measurable operational improvements.Proven ability to lead and develop a team of analysts or engineers, providing mentorship, quality oversight, and professional guidance.Strong understanding of business process documentation methodologies, including process mapping, workflow diagramming, and requirements elicitation.Experience working in close partnership with project or program management functions to translate business needs into technology deliverables.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex process and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Familiarity with enterprise project management and collaboration platforms (Wrike, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, etc.).PreferredExperience with business process management (BPM) tools, workflow automation platforms, or low-code/no-code solutions.ITIL v4, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent process improvement certification.Experience in live entertainment, sports, or media technology environments.Experience supporting large-scale, high-availability technology environment
