Job DescriptionOutside Sales Rep - Lumber & Building MaterialsWe are looking for an outgoing and energetic Outside Sales Rep in the Lumber and Building Materials industry to join our growing team! As the Outside Sales Rep, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will utilize your building materials knowledge, particularly in lumber, trusses, and various exterior building products to effectively communicate and demonstrate the value of our client's products to customers. The Outside Sales Rep will reach business targets through effective management of designated territories and physical visits to customer and contractor sites and locations.Job Type: Full TimeResponsibilities for the Outside Sales Rep:Ensure delivery of target sales by meeting with customers and maintaining relationshipsRecommend service and product enhancements to improve sales potentialAnalyze plans and trends to ensure best assignment of territories, clients, and service distribution.Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in industry networks, and growing lasting client relationshipsEstablish sales objectives by projecting expected sales volumes and forecasting.Remain relevant with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand shifts, and product mix.Positively contribute to full sales and customer service teamsDevelop and collaborate on long- and short-term sales strategiesRequirements of the Outside Sales Rep:Minimum 3-5+ years of Outside Sales or Account Management experienceStrong knowledge of lumber, trusses, and building materialsProven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targetsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish rapport and build relationships with customersHighly motivated and results-orientedStrong negotiation and closing skills
