This is a significant opportunity for a professional who is fully competent in all aspects of Cardiac MRI to work independently on a variety of routine and complex diagnostic procedures. As a key member of the direct patient care team, you will not only deliver exceptional patient care but also serve as a mentor to junior technologists and students.Position Overview As a CMRI Technologist II, you will perform a variety of high-quality clinical and research Cardiovascular MRI exams, utilizing advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathologies to produce optimal images. You will work independently on challenging diagnostic procedures and patient care situations, exercising sound judgment and executing above-average clinical skills. This position also offers the opportunity to actively engage in research projects and provide direct assistance to physicians during procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostic cardiovascular procedures, including complex CMRI exams, while ensuring optimal patient safety and adhering to all imaging standards. Mentor and train junior technologists and students, guiding them to build confidence in their skills and knowledge. Collaborate with all members of the patient care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient information. Ensure proper review of patient medical information and perform high-quality diagnostic studies according to specified protocols. Provide direct assistance to physicians during clinical and research procedures, including maintaining sterile techniques. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental targets for quality and safety. Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures and efficiently manage time and resources. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s). Work Experience: A minimum of three years of MRI experience, with at least one year specifically in cardiovascular imaging. Licenses and Certifications: Required: Must have one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(MR), American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification. A National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart Association. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently and handle challenging patient situations with sound judgment. Advanced computer skills and a strong understanding of the cardiovascular system and associated pathologies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and all levels of the healthcare team. A positive attitude with a self-motivated approach to work.
