Software Engineer

Antech Diagnostics is a leader in veterinary diagnostics with a culture centered on quality, responsibility, mutuality, efficiency and freedom. This position is part of the Antech In-House Diagnostics organization focused on embedded software for veterinary analytical devices. Pay Range $125,000-145,000 annually Responsibilities Architect and write C++ code for on-device firmware, analytical algorithms, connectivity, GUI design, DevOps, manufacturing tools and customer-facing software. Conduct peer reviews and technical assessments to ensure robust solutions and compliance with quality procedures. Participate in project planning by providing technical inputs and progress evaluations. Mentor less experienced Software Engineers. Collaborate with project leadership and other engineering disciplines to develop software requirements, verification, and validation protocols. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. Qualifications Minimum five years professional software development experience. Demonstrated object-oriented C++ programming skill. Experience with embedded Linux development. DevOps experience, including Docker, GitLab CI, and version control systems. Knowledge of AWS or Azure infrastructure management. Experience developing automated tests and using a mock framework. Preferred GUI development experience, especially with Qt. Experience with Yocto. Experience with connectivity to laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or electronic health records (EHR). Medical device experience and strong understanding of software development/validation under IEC 62304 within an FDA QSR or ISO 13485 quality management system. Knowledge of software hardening techniques against cybersecurity attacks. Travel No notable travel is required. Working Conditions The role is performed in a typical office environment. Tasks involve prolonged computer use, manual dexterity for keyboarding, occasional lifting up to 15 lbs, and use of standard office equipment.
