Repair Calibration Technician

Job Description Job Title: Hand Tool Calibration/ Repair TechnicianLocation: Chatsworth, OnsiteSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Optional Overtime)Salary: $30- 40 per hour, depending on experience (DPE)Company Overview:Micro Quality Calibration (MQC), established in 1978, is a leading A2LA ISO/IEC 17025-2017 Accredited Metrology lab specializing in calibration, repair, testing, and sales of precision measurement instruments. Serving industries like Aerospace and Medical, MQC is known for quality, customer service, and growth.Position Overview:We are seeking experienced Calibration Technicians, with specific emphasis on Hand Tool Calibration and Repair to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clients' measurement instruments. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication.Responsibilities:Calibrate and repair tools (Digital and Dial Indicators, Digital and Dial Calipers, O.D/I.D. Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Height Masters, and Height Gauges, etc)Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision equipment.Identify and correct measurement errors.Prepare detailed calibration reports and certificates in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.Conduct routine equipment inspections and collaborate with team on calibration procedures.Ensure all calibrations are performed in accordance with NIST traceable standards.Adapt existing calibration equipment, standards, and techniques to accomplish unique measurementsProvide technical guidance during audits.Maintain a safe work environment and troubleshoot equipment.Requirements and Skills:3-5 years of repair and calibration of hand tools experience requiredMilitary PMEL / TMDE / DOD training preferredExperience working under ISO 17025 Quality Assurance PreferredStrong attention to detail with a focus on producing error-free work.Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.Outstanding organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to meet deadlines effectively.U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Benefits: MQC offers comprehensive benefits including401(k) with matching (with a 4% match)Dental, Health, Vision, Life Insurance, Paid time off, Referral programWe are an Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.Company Description Micro Quality Calibration (MQC), established in 1978, is a leading A2LA ISO/IEC 17025-2017 Accredited Metrology lab specializing in calibration, repair, testing, and sales of precision measurement instruments.
