Project Manager – Commercial/Public ConstructionFull-Time | Massachusetts Public Projects | General ContractorA well-established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple public construction projects throughout Massachusetts. This role is responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout, while coordinating with owners, design teams, subcontractors, superintendents, and internal project teams.The ideal candidate has strong experience managing commercial construction projects, understands Massachusetts public construction requirements, and can successfully manage multiple projects at one time.ResponsibilitiesManage 2–4 construction projects at a time, depending on project size and complexityLead pre-construction meetings and site visits with owners, clients, and project teamsDevelop project work plans, schedules, deadlines, and overall execution strategyManage and mentor project-level team members, including Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Construction Administration staffOversee submittals, procurement tracking, and approvals to help avoid project delaysManage change orders, RFIs, subcontractor changes, supplier changes, and client/design team approvalsCoordinate subcontractor agreements, project documentation, scheduling, purchasing, and invoicingServe as a primary point of contact for clients, owners, subcontractors, and internal teamsMonitor project budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and overall project performanceEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standardsQualifications5–10 years of construction project management experienceExperience with Massachusetts Public Construction / DCAMM projects strongly preferredBackground in commercial construction, pre-construction planning, and basic estimating helpfulAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong client relationship and subcontractor management skillsDetail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering quality workExperience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and ProcoreOSHA 10 requiredEducationBachelor's degree preferredWork EnvironmentThis role is a mix of office and field work. The Project Manager should expect to spend approximately 60% of their time in the office and 40% visiting active job sites, depending on project needs.
