The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position TypeFull-Time/RegularThis position will contribute to investigations into mechanisms of viral pathogenesis. It will involve contributions to experimental planning and design, requiring a background to support those responsibilities. The Research Specialist will support experimental work involving structural biology, image processing, and biochemistry techniques, with a focus on specialized skillsets including imaging and analysis of electron tomography data. The Research Specialist will carry out experiments under the direction of the principal investigator and in collaboration with team members to ensure adherence to protocols and scientific rigor. The position is well-suited to a self-motivated individual seeking to apply specialized skills while continuing to grow professionally within a collaborative research environment. The ideal candidate will have teaching or laboratory experience beyond coursework, familiarity with command line interface computing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to carry out established protocols reliably and reproducibly, including using specialized equipment.
