Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role focuses on general accounting, monthly close, accounts payable, and cross-functional finance support. As Fortvita continues to grow, the scope of this role will evolve to reflect business needs and organizational priorities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESExecute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsManage accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, coding, approval workflow, and vendor paymentReview and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policyMaintain fixed asset schedules and support periodic physical inventory countsPrepare and maintain close checklists and supporting documentation; track and resolve open items on a timely basisSupport internal controls documentation and assist with process improvement initiativesSupport global consolidation and reporting requirements in coordination with the corporate finance teamCollaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, HR, IT, and Legal to support finance processes and approvalsLiaise with the global finance team to support group reporting, consolidation requirementsSupport external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activitiesOther duties as assignedThe responsibilities listed above are representative but not exhaustive. Duties may be modified or reassigned to meet business needs.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field2–5 years of progressive accounting experienceWorking knowledge of US GAAP, general accounting principles, and internal controlsExperience with ERP systems; exposure to large-scale ERP environments is a plusSr. Accountant (Additional Expectations)5+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of close processesAbility to operate independently and drive resolution of issues with minimal supervisionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Biopharma or life sciences industry experience preferredFamiliarity with expense management systems (e.g., Concur) preferredCPA or CPA candidate preferredBilingual in English and Mandarin preferredCompetencies / Core SkillsStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlineHigh degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretionProactive and execution-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-throughEffective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and across time zonesFortvita is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
