Our Tax Strategy law firm is looking for a detail-oriented, thorough, meticulous, and conscientious CPA to join our growing team.Benefits For Our Team:Job Type: Full-timePay: Up to $125,000 annually, plus discretionary bonusesHealth (with 100% employer contribution toward employee's premium).DentalVisionLifeShort and Long Term Disability401(k) (3% Safe Harbor) immediate, fully vested, and nonforfeitable interest in your Elective Deferral AccountPaid Time OffOn-site/Remote/Hybrid work structureResponsibilities:About the Role:Tax Preparation & ReviewPrepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trustsEnsure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with current tax regulationsAnalyze financial records to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risksStay current on changes in tax laws and communicate impacts to clients and internal teamsClient Relationship ManagementServe as a primary point of contact for assigned clientsBuild and maintain strong, long-term client relationshipsRespond to client inquiries and provide clear, actionable guidanceCompliance & ResearchConduct tax research on complex issues and document findingsEnsure compliance with Internal Revenue Service regulations and applicable state lawsAssist with notices, and correspondence with taxing authoritiesProcess Improvement & Efficiency• Utilize tax software and technology tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy• Contribute to the development of best practices and standardized proceduresTeam Collaboration• Work closely with tax strategists, other accountants, controllers, and operations staff• Mentor junior staff and review their work as neededQualifications:About You:Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Taxation preferred)Active CPA license required3–7+ years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting firmExperience with a variety of entity types and industries preferredSkills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong client service and communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple deadlines, especially during peak tax seasonAbout Company:Brown & Sterling is a business-driven tax strategy law firm with offices in Fall City, WA., and Mission Valley, San Diego, CA.
