CNC Machinist/Programmer

Posted: 04/20/2026 Job Number: 149031 Job DescriptionMadden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer for a direct hire opportunity with a technical manufacturer located in Hillsboro, OR. The person in this position will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to support prototype development and production machining. This role requires strong experience in CNC programming, setup, and operation, as well as the ability to work in a small, team-oriented environment using precision measurement tools and quality control processes.Pay: $35.79-$48.32/hrCNC Machinist/Programmer Responsibilities:Program, set up, and operate multi-axis CNC machines to produce precision partsDevelop G-code programs using MastercamInterpret blueprints and CAD models to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerancesCollaborate with engineering teams on prototype development and manufacturability improvementsMachine and modify parts to support engineering and production needsSelect in-house manufacturable components, order materials, and track deliveriesProvide time estimates and maintain project schedules to meet deadlinesPerform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring toolsTroubleshoot machining and mold issues and recommend solutionsOperate manual mills and lathes as neededMaintain CNC programs, tooling documentation, and shop recordsEnsure equipment is properly maintained and request repairs when necessaryFollow safety standards, 5S practices, ISO procedures, and GMP requirementsCNC Machinist/Programmer Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of CNC programming and machining experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with Mastercam and G-code programmingTool and die background is preferredStrong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.)Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, materials, speeds and feeds, and coolant usageStrong math skills, including geometry and trigonometryIntermediate computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision401k with MatchPaid Time OffPaid Holidays
