Senior DBA – Data Migration SpecialistThis position is a contract position for a Data Migration Specialist for a 3-month contract, onsite in Austin, Texas.Duties & Responsibilities:Perform data cleaning, preparation, reporting, and data analysisPerform data migration. That is data extraction, aggregation, and quality checking in support of merging and unifying customers' data spread over multiple sources and tables into one unified database.Work with other stakeholders to resolve data extraction and/or loading issuesDefine, Plan and Document incremental steps for data migration to avoid data regression issues.Developing, documenting, and communicating concepts and processes used within Data Migration, while contributing ideas for internal improvements.Prepare presentations and summary status reports of ongoing Data migration initiativesRequirements & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, advanced degree a plus.5 to 10 years of experience in designing, and Administrating Databases.Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with SQL, PLSQL technologiesExperience in Data Migrations projects preferably using PLSQLExperience and understanding of Data Cleansing and structuresExpertise in the Data Migration / Integration field; Previous Transformation and extraction experienceTechnical expertise in data models, database design, ETL development, and data miningData cleansing, normalizing, reconciliation, and balancing experience as related to an ETL process using SQLStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.Leadership:Deep practitioner of Agile and Lean Start-Up methodologies.Demonstrated continuous improvement and a continuous learning mindset.Demonstrated capability as a lifecycle problem solver (idea -> implementation).Strong engineering leaders who can roll up their sleevesAn execution-focused executive with a "get things done" attitude.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior executives and customers.Ability to cultivate a culture of openness, transparency, and inclusion.Management:Excellent knowledge of strategic planning and capability development with experience implementing technology strategy and roadmaps.Expert written and oral presentation skills used to influence other leaders across the enterprise.Required Skills: PL/SQL and PostgressSQL Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: Exclusive to ApexBackground Check: YesDrug Screen: YesNotes: Need to be onsite in Austin, TX from first day of the project Relocation candidates are fine as long as they are willing to relocate at their own expense.
