PackerWage: $18.25/hourShift: C Shift Days 4/13Hours: Thursday-Saturday (Every other Wednesday) 7am-7pmWe're seeking a high-performing Packer known for speed, precision, and reliability in fast-paced manufacturing environments. The Packer consistently ensures product quality by carefully inspecting, packing, and labeling materials while maintaining strict safety and GMP standards. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who communicates effectively, minimizes waste, and keeps production lines running smoothly through attention to detail and proactive problem-solving. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Lee's Summit, MO.Packer Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Arrive early for shift changeover and stay until properly relievedInspect equipment after breaks and ensure the product meets quality standards; pack products coming off the line according to quality specificationsReport issues promptly and activate help board when neededCommunicate safety, quality, and equipment concerns to appropriate personnel; monitor product flow to prevent scrap and jam-upsSort and recycle scrap material properlySupport QA by providing defect samples and holding suspect productsStack and label boxes/skids as directedRead and follow shop orders accuratelyManage time efficiently and assist with other tasks as neededWillingly cross-train and help train new operators (if OJT certified)Packer Requirements:High school diploma or GED preferredPrior experience in a manufacturing or molding environment is a plusLift and stack boxes (up to 50 pounds)Place skids/pallets from ground to 35-55 inches highFrequently sit, twist, stand, stoop, bend, and walk, including occasional ladder climbingStand for 8-12 hours per shiftPush/pull up to 750 pounds using manual pallet jacks (80 pounds push/pull force)Must be able to detect and respond to machine sirens and audible alarm signalsVerify job specs including colors and designsStrong communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and adapt to different machines and processesQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
