He or she must provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.ResponsibilitiesPerforms installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basisCompletes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and proceduresSchedules inspections with customers as requiredProvides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity requiredCommunicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customerFollows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performedMarkets EFI services to existing and potential customersTrains Technician Trainees as assignedCommits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtimeCompletes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for positionAdheres to ALL Company Standards and Procedures, including the Controlled Substances and Alcohol StandardQualificationsEST 3 OR 4 Certified (Preferred)NICET level 2 or 3Education, experience, and certification as specified in the job description (or equivalent combination)Has practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standardsExcellent customer service skillsValid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordPositive and professional demeanor with the ability to handle change, resolve conflict, and solve problems as they arise with minimal directionAble to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 pounds, work from heights above 10 feet, and work in confined areasAble to stand for long periods of time and to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pullBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programVision insuranceIn compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, we maintain a drug-free workplace and operate a Drug-Free Workplace program.
