The Department of Psychiatry at South Oaks Hospital is seeking a full-time inpatient psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership and direct care for a busy unit. The ideal candidate is an energetic leader with excellent clinical, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills who is comfortable leading a multidisciplinary team of clinicians. Ideal candidates also possess a skillset appropriate for the management of acute psychiatric patients with attention to service excellence.ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and direct patient care for the inpatient unit.Lead a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and coordinate care for acute psychiatric patients with emphasis on service excellence.QualificationsBoard-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry, with ACGME-approved residency training, and eligible for a New York State medical license.Excellent communication, teaching, supervisory, and interpersonal skills.Experience preferred, but new graduates with the appropriate combination of experience and skills are encouraged to apply.About South Oaks Hospital & Northwell HealthSouth Oaks Hospital is a 202-bed behavioral health hospital located on the Nassau/Suffolk border on Long Island.
