Rotating Schedule1st week Rotation: 3:00PM to 1:30AM - (OFF SUN -MON-FRI)2nd week Rotation: 3:00PM to 1:30AM - (OFF TUE - WED-SAT)Position Summary:This role will be responsible for supporting production by safely maintaining equipment to produce the highest quality. B Corp certification validates our positive impact and tells the world we are part of a community using business as a force for good.Key Responsibilities:Follow good manufacturing practices, personal protective equipment requirements, and safety guidelines.Perform basic mechanical adjustments like tensioning drive belts, conveyor belts, tracking belts and chains.Works safely around moving equipment and conveyors in a wet environmentBe proficient in the use of standard hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, bearing pullers, etc.Perform building mechanical repairs such as overhead door track and panel replacement, concrete work, and chain link repairs.Change motors, pulleys, gear boxes and belting.Troubleshoot simple mechanical systems such as chain drives and pumps.Perform scheduled and emergency repairs on all equipment and building structures (i.e. pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic electrical plumbing)Replace slicer, cutter, dicer blade assemblies and perform necessary adjustments.Read piping diagrams and identify the function of various components for air and water distribution systems.Handle blade housingLock out/Tag out equipment as necessarySafely operate shop equipment such as grinders, cut-off saws, power tools, ladders, etc.Comply with SQF Regulatory ProgramsRead and complete work orders, paperwork, specification books, schematics and manuals.Perform preventive maintenance and other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold environmentMechanical and Electrical aptitudeChain drive sprocket and gearboxWorking knowledge of cleaning and degreasing techniquesReading, Writing, Speaking English PreferredSafety Guidelines, Understand efficiencies and downtimeAbility to work in fast paced environment, to be crossed trained & multitask in multiple positionAt least 0-1 years of experience and basic mechanical skillsGED/High School Diploma PreferredMust be proficient in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, or FrenchPhysical Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Compensation & Benefits:We offer a competitive starting rate of $29.35/hr commensurate with experience and qualifications.
