Learn and partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain accurate maintenance recordsOther general maintenance duties as requiredCollaborate with Team Members outside of the department to ensure the overall success of the operationWhy Join SavageModern fleet — most trucks less than 5 years oldPaid Time Off (PTO) & Paid holidaysProfit-sharing bonusComprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k)Company-provided uniforms and laundry serviceStrong safety culture and consistent support from leadershipJob RequirementsAbility to perform general maintenance on trucks and tractor trailers in the elements as this position does not have an enclosed shopTwo to three years of Semi-Truck Fleet Mechanic experience, and experience with a variety of trucks a plusConfidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and moreAn expert in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems, being able to visually recognize problems is a big plusClass A CDL a plus, but not requiredThe ability to weld aluminum is a plusFor safety, it is essential that the candidate possesses English communication skills.
