Job Overview: We are seeking dedicated and skilled Pastry Cooks and Pastry Platers to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a vital part of our culinary operations, you will work closely with our chefs, including the renowned Pastry Chef Robert Gonzalez, to prepare and present high-quality pastries that exceed guest expectations. Whether you're creating intricate desserts or ensuring beautiful plating, your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of Mason's Steak House. Responsibilities: Pastry Cook: Prepare and bake a variety of dessert components, cakes and breads. Follow recipes and presentation guidelines with precision and consistency. Ensure all pastry areas are clean, organized, and stocked. Assist in the execution of new dessert recipes and menu items. Follow food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Support the pastry team during service hours as needed. Pastry Plater: Plate desserts with an artistic and consistent presentation. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of dessert orders. Communicate with the pastry chefs to ensure smooth operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the plating area. Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times. Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to meet guest expectations. Qualifications: Proven experience as a pastry cook or pastry plater in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Strong understanding of pastry techniques and presentation. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and a passion for pastry arts.
