Material Handler/Fab Tech

Material Handler/Fab Tech – 1st ShiftShift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pmOverall ResponsibilityMove materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments).Load, unload sheets and parts off laser.Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs).Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc).Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.Key Job Duties (not Exhaustive)Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc.Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.Follow company policy and standards.Able to operate forklifts and hoists.Keep work centers clean and orderly.Able to take and follow directives.Required Skills And Experience2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience.Desired Qualities And AttributesAbility to work and function as a team.Self-motivated and can work without much supervision.Strong communication skills (written, verbal).Is safety minded and puts safety first while performing job duties and functions.Job Type: Full-timePay: $23.00 per hourBenefits401(k) matchDental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurance100% company paid Life InsuranceFlexible scheduleProfit SharingDouble Time IncentivePaid HolidaysSwitchgear Power Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
