Imagine walking through stores and seeing our labels on your favorite products and brands!This is a full-time opportunity, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1pm-9pm, OT as needed; training Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.Our full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and much more.Key Responsibilities for Slitter Machine Operator include:Overall responsibility for the machine including set-ups, output, and maintenanceStrong mechanical aspects of equipment operations and decision making, such as performing change overs, changing paper rolls, and removing splicesWork closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflowEngage in areas of continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives in finishingWork safely, abide by and promote established safety policies and procedures; identify and follow up to ensure unsafe conditions are managedThe ideal candidate for Slitter Machine Operator must demonstrate:Effective time management and ability to prioritize multiple long- and short-term projects, meeting all related deadlinesStrong organizational skills and high degree of attention to detailIndependent judgment, proactive thinking, and strong analytical capabilitiesAbility to communicate to customers and employees of all levels of the companyExcellent interpersonal, collaborative, supervisory, leadership, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalitiesEducation, Experience and CredentialsRequired: Computer skills and knowledgePreferred: High School degree or equivalentPreferred: Prior experience in a converting environmentPreferred: Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems
